Borrow Pit 6 reclamation consisted of simply replacing salvaged soils on pit slopes above the expected water line. Borrow Pit 6 is one of the first Oil Sands Region’s borrow pits to be fully reclaimed and integrated into a neighbouring peatland with a shallow water table, actively flowing into the pit.
