Inspired by COSIA Faster forests program to restore the ecological integrity and ecosystem functions of northern Alberta's boreal forest by planting indigenous species of trees and shrubs. Originally launched by the Oil Sands Leadership Initiative, the program's aim is to revegetate historical disturbances of the oil and gas industry and put Alberta's forest back on a healthy trajectory.
